Certificate of Authenticity:

The Certificate of Authenticity gives authentic artists and collectors the opportunity to distinguish their work from reproductions which some dealers would like to pass off as "originals." By offering the extensive information of the Certificate artists can not only guarantee the authenticity of their work, but also educate their buyers as to just exactly what they are spending their money on.

Our Certificate of Authenticity is an additional value added to our paintings as it explains to the client the various factors which intervene in its production. With the COA, Artfro confidently guarantees the quality of our paintings. We stand behind every item that we sell and deliver. Each purchase from Artfro.com is delivered with our Certificate of Authenticity to guarantee that the originality of your paintings  is equal to what was promised on our web site and promotional materials.

Provenance records:

The provenance, or history of ownership, of our paintings is listed in chronological order, that is, starting with the first owner and moving forward in time. Each entry in that provenance is in the following format:

The center column shows the name and location of the owner or seller of the work. "Anonymous collection" and "Anonymous sale" can mean one of two things: 1) we do not know the name of the owner or seller of that work, or 2) we know the name of the owner or seller, but he/she made it a condition of sale that his/her identity not be revealed. Locations are in the language of that place; for instance, Köln, Deutschland is used rather than Cologne, Germany.

Notes to the right of and below each entry (when present) provide additional data on the painting, owner, transaction, or the source of our information.
