We dance in a frenzy, but with a rythm. We dance in a mood, but with our souls. Pleasure can be found in many an activity but through our dance we reach that state that elevates us above all pressures. |

The town square is our place, the festival has come. Markets are closed, and the merchandise seized. Jigolo! Jigolo!! My drummers, captivated by the rhythmic flow of the drums, so acrobatic, I can’t help it. A long expected day has finally come. My taped skirt all danced to the rhythm. The crowd would not go, It is full of strength and skill. |

True melodies that continue to feed our souls. Igbo kwenu! Igbo kwenu!! The ebony, the skin, the hollow wood. How will the festival hold? How will I separate myself? How can the soup be without salt, or the body without the head? The Obi and his councils know about it. It is the new-yam festival. |

The tough and arduous life of those seeking greener pastures in metropolitan cities where the pastures are anything but green.
No show for lazy man, I work around the clock, Oshodi straight, Ajegunle Owa o, Kaiya, alabaru, as long as money comes under the sun I go. The task force would not allow my goods under the bridge. Electric bill without current but the Landlord dey pursue man katikati. I had better go back to my village, Lagos na wa! Gari for morning, mouth organ for night. Christmas is around the corner. At last I will have some rice and Coca cola. Lagos na wa! |

The drummer drums to emit sounds and rhythm from the drum. The listeners hear and feel it. But beyond this, are the unseen waves that reach and move us with their spiral hands and tentacles, even beyond our verbal description. This is pictorial representation of this imagination in semi abstract - semi realism, embedded in a suffused chromatic rendition. I use waves, curves and circles to represent movement and continuity in my pictorial discussion. |
